MONDOS
Mondos Gallery
Here are pictures of Mondos from Series One. There are still a handful of variations we have to include, the gallery should be completed before the end of January. You will note that many of the mondos come in a light skin and a slightly darker skin. At this time we haven't isolated exactly are the rarer variations however we'll be updating this gallery on a regular basis - as new info comes to hand. Of course feel free to contribute by emailing the yowieman.

Series Two is expected late July 2001, Series One is also expected to be retired/withdrawn at the same time. Time will tell if Kenman Kandy keep to this outline, if they do and follow the highly successful Furuta Choco Eggs (Japanese) marketing program then they can expect a hot collectable to emerge. If not then they run the risk of doing a 'Cadbury' and flood the market with figurines that collectors don't want. Finally be warned that there is no guarantee of at least one Rare Mondo per box - as we've found out. We opened 4 four boxes (96 Mondos) for a total of 2 rares. Generally we've found around 13-14 different per box, with up to 5 of the same in the one box (one box = 24 Mondos).I would give them about a 6 out of 10 for a full box performance - which isn't too bad, compared to a 0.5 out of ten for the last batch of Yowie boxes we opened! The number of Mondo collectors is rising rapidly and the collectable market may explode if Kenman execute Series Two in an appropriate manner. Let's hope so.
